User Audit + Benchmarking

I audited their existing content and mapped user flows to identify opportunities to improve clarity and engagement, with a focus on content structure and clear calls-to-action.

User flow diagrams, visual inspiration, and moodboards used to shape the site structure and guide the design direction for Encompass Mental Health's website redesign.

Key Findings:

• No clear value proposition on the homepage; too many steps to book an appointment.

• No streamlined options for returning patients.

• Engagement relied heavily on booking a call—no alternatives like email or chat.

Recommended Improvements:

• Expand homepage content with experience stats, all the therapist bios, adding areas of expertise, and a video introducing the practice to build trust and connection.

• "Inquire About Counseling” form for low-commitment leads.

• Include a live chat option for real-time support.

Scope + Goals

Encompass Mental Health was previously using an all-in-one website solution tailored for therapists but faced challenges with limited flexibility and slow support response times. They partnered with Belt Creative to design and develop a custom 19-page website while they internally did the heavy lifting on their migration backend organization. A key goal was to ensure the new site empowered Encompass to independently create and update content—such as adding therapists, blog posts, and resources—without relying on external support.

Pages Left to Right: Podcast, Home and About.

My Role

I began by creating moodboards to help Encompass visualize new design directions and updated their color palette to meet accessibility standards while maintaining brand integrity. The goal was a warm, welcoming site that reflects their mission of providing judgment-free care, using earth tones. Development was a team effort—Nick built the style guide and some components, while I completed the remaining design tokens and built the 19-page Webflow site. To support ongoing independence, I used Webflow variable components and created video tutorials covering CMS additions, component editing, and page creation.

The Result

The final website for Encompass Mental Health is a modern, intuitive, and scalable platform that reflects the practice’s values while empowering clients to easily access support and the team to manage content independently.
